
Casablanca: MASI falls 0.95% as Cosumar weighs, AtlantaSanad holds up
The MASI fell 0.95% to 17,869.06 points on September 24, while the MASI 20 dropped 0.84% to 1,294.16 and the MASI ESG lost 1.21% to 1,324.66, according to the Casablanca Stock Exchange. The decline extended a choppy run after a 0.48% gain on September 22, a 0.20% drop on September 23 and a broader 2.34% rebound in the MASI ESG on September 21, according to analyst notes. On the stock side, LafargeHolcim Maroc rose 2.6% against the trend on September 24, after REB jumped 6% on September 23, CIH gained 3% on September 22 and CMT surged 10% on September 21, analysts said. In corporate news, Cosumar posted a 10% drop in first-half revenue and a decline in first-half attributable net profit, while AtlantaSanad lifted first-half net profit by 5.3% and Taqa Morocco is to transfer a 2.7 billion dirham loan to Jorf Lasfar Energy Company 1-4, according to Le Nouvelliste Maroc, L'Economiste and Medias24.

The MASI fell 0.95% to 17,648.9 points on September 28, while the MASI 20 lost 0.71% to 1,278.67 points and the MASI ESG dropped 1.16% to 1,305.82 points. The mid- and small-cap index also slipped 1.05% to 1,718.27 points, after a 0.69% weekly gain in the September 21-25 period, according to analysts. On the corporate front, Managem posted a tenfold increase in first-half 2026 net profit, reports L’Observateur, while Promopharm issued a profit warning on its half-year results, according to Medias24. In healthcare, T2S Group and Akdital will deploy surgical robots across several facilities in Morocco, reports Le Matin, while DTY jumped 4.3% against a 0.95% decline in the MASI, according to analysts.
